"Amy's entrepreneurial spirit sparked sooner than most, which lead her to partnering with her mother in the opening of Hot Heads Unisex Salon in Courtice while finishing her final year of high school.

Although she has never lost touch with Hot Heads, she continued to further herself by completing a diploma in Business Administration, a certificate in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management at Royal Road University in Victoria, British Columbia. All with honours and supported with awards for strong leadership and teamwork.

During this time of academia Amy seized some challenging opportunities, including an internship with the Greater Sarasota (Florida ) Chamber of Commerce, being actively involved with their Young Professionals Group and Small Business Development
Centre. She was also the Director of Venture Challenge for Royal Roads University where she lead a student based competition, where 14 teams each had $5 and five weeks to start and run a business in which all profits would go to local charity. Collectively, they raised just under $45 000.00."
